Tech Vs A&M Dilemma

God’s given me clear direction on the whole matter. Today I was looking things up online and I found out that in order to be a part of the Fighting Aggie Band I would have to be part of the corps of cadets. Sounds fun except, I started looking into what that entailed. It’s a mini version of Boot Camp and military life in general. There’s a height./ and weight requirement. It’s pretty relaxed according to military standards but it still exists. But the kicker was this, if I went to A&M I wouldn’t be able to serve as much throughout the week. I found what seems like a good church in the area, but I would only have enough time to attend the normal Sun/Wed services. No matter where I go, I want a church that I can serve in various ministries throughout the week. Even now it’s one of the many frustrations I have with the military. Not only do they have weight requirements, but they also have the ability to restrict you to the dorms. REALLY? I’ve had enough military that any attempt to “pretend” would definitely drive me nuts. Plus Tech has a more options for after undergraduate studies, so I can pursue a masters or even a doctorate if I’m inclined to do so. Another good point is that I can continue the Bible Institute classes in Lubbock without skipping a beat.

Whatcha think?

Duh, I've been saying Lubbock was the way to go for a while now. But better that you come to the conclusion yourself rather than listening to me.

I am glad the Lord has made this clear to you! I am sure it feels great to finally have it settled in your mind.

Well I couldn't get A&M out of my head. It had a death grip on me. I mean who wouldn't want to go to A&M. The band is awesome. But it's not worth having to be tied down.
