"Bad Boys, Bad Boys Whatcha Gonna Do, Whatcha Gonna Do When They Come for You"

Well You're probably wondering what I'm doing with the police front and center? Well a few days ago I almost got caught up in a situation. A situation i could have avoided altogether if I had just heeded to a friend's advice.(Alyssa's)

K so a few weeks ago my barracks moved everyone so that they could complete some construction in B wing. They closed the whole wing off with do not cross tape. We were moved in such a hurry that I forgot a stack of music that I've had since I was a little kid. Thinking maybe I had just misplaced it, I searched my room up and down. Convinced that I had indeed forgot them in the old room, I came up with an idea to go check the old room late at night after the construction crews were gone and when there would not be anyone on the wing. I had mentioned this plan to Alyssa a few night before at Bible Institute. She said "Couldn't you just ask the barracks staff to allow you access?" When I thought about how vindictive and mean most people in the Navy are I thought no they'll just tell me no just because they can.

Day after day the urge to go check out my old room festered. Finally late one night, i took a small flash light and snuck upstairs to my old room. Inside I was amazed at how much I forgotten. It must have been a whole drawer of stuff. Old tax returns, pictures, plus the stack of music was what I found. I searched the room high and low to make sure I got everything(I did not want to have to do this again). Since I had not realize how much I had left behind I had nothing to carry everything downstairs. Thinking quickly I took my sweatshirt off and filled it with the last of my belongings. Hearing someone's breath behind me(or rather in paranoia), I hurried up and headed downstairs. As I got to the first floor, guess who met me? None other than a NAS Whidbey Island MA. I almost ran smack dab into him. Surprisingly the MA didn't stop me. Someone would have thought he would though, because I was wearing a white t-shirt. (White t-shirts typically are not allowed to be worn by themselves, because they are thought of as an undershirt) I just knew I was caught, but he kept going up stairs. I quickly ran to my room so that i could "scatter". Even though I was absolutely guilty, God showed mercy and spared me.

So this is why you want to move out huh;)? Running from the law?! DUDE, you are so lucky you didn't say anything to me before hand. I would have said the exact same thing as Alyssa, but with added council to talk to a 1st class instead of the airmen at the front desk. Because they'll make decisions that are in their own best interest so as not to get themselves in trouble, without seeing the bigger picture. Someone with the authority of a supervisor probably can empathize and would show you mercy too.

LOL Well I knew I was wrong before I asked Alyssa. In fact I didn't want to hear i told ya so, so I even waited for a while to blog or comment about the situation. I'm just glad that God showed me mercy, and was able to teach my hardheaded self a thing or two without too much damage.

I'm sorry, but this is absolutely funny!
It sounds like something Crystal would do, and something I would do. But I don't think I would have been as blessed as you! I would have gotten caught!
Great post though. :)
Have you told Crystal about this? I won't tell her yet, you've got to tell her. She'll die of laughter :)
Guess she's met quite a few people from the church here in Hawaii that go to West Coast with her.
Loved the header too..takes me back to the last time I heard it on tv. Probably years ago.
Take care,
Tori
